Citizen M - Amsterdam

Citzen M e o nome do hotel em que nos hospedamos em Amsterdam. Eu nao tinha visto a reserva e nao sabia o que esperar quando cheguei ao endereco que o Fabio tinha nos dado.

Citzen M is the hotel where we stayed in Amsterdam. I had not seen the booking and did not know what to expect when I arrived at the address that Fabio had given us.

Um hotel ultra moderno, com um design “chocante” e um estilo bem diferente dos hoteis em que ja fiquei.

O check in e feito pelo proprio hospede, em computadores instalados na recepcao. Ha varios ambientes para as pessoas interagirem, ou relaxarem, ja que o quarto e feito so para dormir, de tao pequeno.

The check in is made by the guest, using  computers installed at reception. There are several different environments where people can interact, relax, read or simply hang. The bedrooms are very small, so it is a good idea to use the common areas.

As areas comuns sao modernas e coloridas, ha tambem computadores ( MAC) disponiveis para os hospedes.

The common  areas are modern and colorful, and have computers (MAC) available for guests use.

Ha tambem um "micro mercado" que vende sucos, agua, sandubas, cafe, saladas e outras coisinhas basicas, 24 horas. Deu fome? E so descer e comprar uma coisinha pra acalmar o estomago.

There is also a "micro market" that sells juices, water, sandwiches, coffee, salads and other basic things - 24 hours. Got hungry? Just go down and buy a little something to pacify your tummy..

Mas eu disse que o hotel e bem diferente. Voce deve estar se perguntando - diferente como?

But I mentioned the hotel is different from everything I've ever seen, and you may want to know what can be so different, so come with me...

Pra comecar a suite e um unico ambiente, onde o vaso sanitario e o chuveiro ficam no meio do quarto. O QUEEE? Isso mesmo. Bem no meio do quarto.

Com um box de vidro, encapsulando cada um deles ( e a capsula do vaso sendo fume) as pessoas dormem, escovam os dentes, fazem xixi e tomam banho praticamente no mesmo lugar.

Estranho, ne?

The room is one big square. At the end you have a huge elevated matress, that goes wall to wall. And in the middle of the room, you have the toilet and shower. That's right. Right in the middle of the room.

With a glass capsule,  "protecting" the shower from splashing water everywhere and a fume capsule blocking the toilet seat view.

Strange, huh?

Mas apesar da diferenca, o quarto e hiper confortavel, o chuveiro e delicioso - e tem um box redondo, ultra moderno, com luzes coloridas. Se voce quiser, pode ate pedir pro seu namorado/amante/marido/caso/ficante fazer um showzinho pra voce...

But despite the uniqueness, the room is comfortable, the shower is delicious - and has a round box, ultra modern, with colored lights. If you want you can even ask your  boyfriend / lover / husband to perform a little show for you ...

A cama fica num tablado que vai de parede a parede, o colchao e super macio, os edredons e travesseiros sao deliciosos e a cortina metalica nao deixa entrar nenhuma gota de claridade indesejada.

Eu achei o lugar barbaro!! Amei e tive a mais perfeita noite de sono.

The mattress is super soft, the duvet and pillows are delightful and there is a metallic curtain that does not let a single drop of unwanted light come through.

 I loved it and had the most perfect night's sleep.
