O Sammy é o meu mais novo xodó e eu tenho o maior prazer em ficar vendo o bicho se esbaldar com as gostosuras que eu trago para ele.
Aqui em casa somos todos muito conscientes. gato e cachorro não comem doce, e comem pouca comida de gente. mantemos os danadinhos na ração - e o Sammy com frutas e verduras, por que ele é um animal herbívoro, certo?

SAmmy is my newly acquired tortoise. I have had him for six months and I super enjoy feeding him and watching him be super active and happy.
In our house we are very conscious about our pet's nutrition and both our cat and dog don't eat sweets and rarely eat human food. we keep them on a very healthy dry diet. Sammy is no different. Being an herbivore, we let him feast on fruits and veggies.

He enjoys his grapes
Uma variedade sem fim de vegetais
And lots of vegetables
Se esbaldou com os morangos
Strawberries are his favorites
E caçou amoras na grama
And he searches for blackberries on the grass
Para eu descobrir... que... que...que... tartarugos tem que comer GRAMA!
E que frutas fazem mal para eles. Vegetais também podem fazer. Legumes idem...

And then I found out tortoises are not supposed to eat any of this. At all. They are to survive on GRASS!
They said fruits and veggies are not good for the tortoise and they can even die from eating it.
I am sooo sad, I don;t even know how I will break the news to him.
