No nosso ultimo dia na Alemanha, fomos visitar Sanssouci, em Potsdam. Infelizmente não tivemos tempo para explorar a cidade, que parece ser uma delícia.
Sanssouci foi o palácio de verão de Frederick o Grande, Rei da Prússia.
On our last day in germany, we visited Sanssouci, in Potsdam. Unfortunately we had no time to explore the city, but it seems pretty nice.
Sanssouci was the Summer Palace of Frederick the Great, King of Prússia
O mais impressionante são os jardins do Palácio, não apenas pela sua beleza, mas pela sua grandiosidade.
The most impressive thing for me, was the garden, not only for it's beauty but also for it's grandiosity.
I did have the opportunity to visit the interior of the Palace and the ladies quarters, and have to say I was not too impressed.
Sometimes I have the impression these Palaces were pretty much all the same. Everytime I visit one, I leave with the feeling I heard all that before and saw it all somewhere else.
Maybe I was royalty in my previous life :-)
One story I enjoyed was about Frederick's adolescent years. He decided to disagree with his father and decided to leave. His dad, Frederick William got him arrested and inprisioned for 2 years. I don't think it is a good idea to challenge a German King...
Eu tive a oportunidade de visitar o Palácio por dentro e de visitar a Ala das Mulheres, mas confesso que não achei nada muito impressionante.
Depois dessas visitas que eu insisto em fazer, sempre volto com a sensação de que eu já vi aquilo, e eu já ouvi as histórias. Será que eu fui realeza na minha vida passada?
Uma única história me chamou a atençao. O Rei Frederick se desentendeu com o pai na sua adolescencia e resolveu fugir. O pai, Frederick William, simplesmente mandou seus guardas captura-lo e ele ficou preso durante dois anos.
Agora me diz: brigar com Rei Alemão te parece uma boa idéia?
