No nosso ultimo dia juntos, ele me disse:
A Esther é branca.
Eles a acham grossa. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This week my clients were Nigerians and brought their kids with them. the 7 year old boy was a delight. On our last day together he said:
- In Brasil everyone is white.
- Not really. Many people in Brazil are black. Some say more than 50%.
- I know a brazilian. She is in my class. Her name is Esther, but she says it is not - she says her name is Exter ( and pronounced the name with a strong accent from Rio de Janeiro). We call her Esther, regardless of what she says. And when she cries, she gets really, really red.
- Why do you make her cry? poor girl!
- I don't. Other kids do - because she is really, really rude. But i think she just can't speak proper English and no one taught her to say please, thank you and sorry!
